2012 FedEx Rate Increases
Once again following UPS, FedEx has announced their 2012 rate changes. The changes will take place on January 2, 2012; the same day that the new UPS rates take place. 2012 UPS Rate Increases
UPS has recently announced their 2012 rate changes. The changes will take place on January 2, 2012. UPS announced an increase of 6.9% for their air service and a 2% reduction in the fuel surcharge. UPS Ground will increase an average of 4.9% with a 1% reduction in the fuel surcharge. Once again, the surcharges take a big hit, especially their declared value fees. Shipsurance Covers Shipments Sent Via EquaShip
Yesterday, EquaShip took the wraps off of their new shipping service. The startup is looking to compete with UPS and FedEx by offering shipping discounts to small to medium sized business shippers. USPS First Class Mail Price Increase
The United States Postal Service will be raising the prices of First Class Mail beginning January 22, 2012. The cost of mailing a letter will raise $0.01 (one penny) to $0.45. Additional ounces will remain at $0.20. The overall average price increase across all mailing services is capped by law at 2.1 percent. The new prices were filed with the Postal Regulatory Commission on Oct. 18, 2011 and the Commission has 45 days to review the prices. [...]
